129: How to Make Money on Instagram Without Thousands of Followers (Part 4)

How to Make Money on Instagram Without Thousands of Followers (Part 4)

If I could wave a magic wand right now and give you one of two things: tomorrow morning you wake up and your Instagram account has 50,000 new followers, or tomorrow morning you wake up with an additional $100,000 in revenue for your business.

Which one would you choose?

Today I am sharing two stories that illustrate exactly what I mean, and I am answering the question every business owner is really asking: how does Instagram actually make me money?

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • 06:35 Why you do not need a huge audience to make serious money on Instagram and what actually determines whether followers convert into revenue

  • 08:26 Meet Martine: a Pilates studio owner with fewer than 1,000 followers who made $3,000 in a single day from two clients who had been quietly watching her content for months

  • 11:18 Meet Amber: a burnout recovery coach and former veterinarian who built a marketing system that turned her Instagram visibility into consistent leads and a $12,000 client

  • 15:57 The framework Elizabeth teaches inside Hot Reels: visibility leads to trust, trust leads to action, action leads to revenue

  • 21:22 How the $12,000 client found Amber, what the funnel looked like, and why it felt like the easiest sale she had ever made

  • 26:27 Why every interaction with your content is a deposit into the trust bank and how that compounds into predictable revenue over time

  • 31:05 Why you do not get an award for doing it by yourself and what Amber says about the real value of coaching and implementation

S3 Ep129 Transcript - How to Make Money on Instagram Without Thousands of Followers (Part 4)

00:00

If I could wave a magic wand right now and give you one of two things, either tomorrow morning you wake up.

00:07

and your Instagram account has 50,000 new followers. Or tomorrow morning you wake up with an additional $100,000 in revenue for your business. Which one would you choose? I don't know about you, but I'm choosing the revenue and Dreamboat clients every single time because followers don't pay the mortgage. Followers don't put groceries on your table and followers don't fund your next family vacation. Dreamboat customers and clients do.

00:35

And yet I see so many business owners building their entire Instagram strategy around the wrong scoreboard. They're so focused on chasing followers, views, viral moments, validation, when what they actually want is revenue. And if that's you, today's episode is gonna completely change the way you think and approach Instagram because over the past few weeks in the series, we've been talking about consistency, strategy, messaging. And today I wanna connect

01:03

all those pieces together and answer the question that every business owner is really asking. Okay, Elizabeth, this is great, but how does Instagram actually make me money? Today I'm going to share two stories.

01:15

that illustrate exactly what I mean. The first is one of my Hot Reels clients, Martine. She had fewer than 1000 followers on Instagram and she made $3,000 in a single day from two sales that came directly from people who had been quietly watching her content for months. And I'm going to introduce you to Amber. Amber is one of my 12 month private coaching clients. And part of that program is she has access to Hot Reels, which is my 12 month group coaching program. You're going to hear her describe in her own words how Instagram stopped feeling like this exhausting guessing

01:45

and started becoming one of the most consistent drivers of leads and revenue in her business. Because spoiler alert, neither of these women built their businesses because they had massive audiences. They built them because they learned how to build trust and invite their ideal client or customer into the next step with their business. I hope you're excited. Let's go. Welcome to Stratix.

02:11

A podcast about creating bold visibility on social media with zero apologies. I'm Elizabeth Marbury, your host and Instagram marketing coach. I help small business owners get seen on Instagram and monetize their offers so they can make more money doing their sole lead work. If you're tired of spinning your wheels on Instagram and you're seeking simple, proven Instagram marketing strategies that actually work, you're in the right place. Let's dive in.

02:48

Welcome back to the show. Thank you as always for taking this time to invest in yourself, your knowledge, your business and hang out with me. I know your time is precious. So I really appreciate you giving me your focus and energy today. Every week, my goal is truly to simplify Instagram marketing so you can grow your visibility and attract more dreamboat clients. And at the end of the day, build a business you absolutely love so you can

03:18

do the things that you want, right? Whatever that means for you. So we all go into business for different reasons, time, freedom, money, freedom, location, freedom, right? And I've been talking lately a lot about the fact that yes, I am an Instagram marketing strategist and business growth coach. And at the end of the day, social media marketing is just the vehicle in which I help you to live into your most authentic self and purpose on this planet. And so again, I'm so honored that you're here with me.

03:48

If you're just joining us, this is part four of a five part series leading up to the opening of Hot Reels, which is my 12 month Instagram content lab. And if you've been listening from the beginning, first of all, thank you. But second, I hope you're starting to notice something. Every episode has been building on the one before it. In part one, we talked about consistency and not because consistency alone magically creates sales.

04:15

but because you have to stay in the game long enough to become recognizable as a brand. Part two, we talked about strategy. Every piece of content has a job and some content introduces you to new clients or customers or followers who don't know that your brand exists. Some of your content will build trust and really drive connections with your existing audience. And some of your content will

04:43

generate leads and sales. And then last week we talked about messaging because people don't hire the smartest expert in the room. They hire the person who makes them feel understood and truly seen. Today we're taking all of those pieces and talking about what everyone actually wants, which is revenue.

05:08

And let's be honest, none of us started our business because we just wanted more followers, right? Or we wanted to become an internet celebrity. We started our small businesses because we wanted freedom and flexibility and impact and more income. And Instagram is simply one of the vehicles that can help us get there. And if you've been listening to the podcast for a while or if this is your first time, hello, so nice to meet you.

05:38

you will know and you will feel that I am so passionate about Instagram marketing and social media marketing. I think it is fun. I have a lot of fun in creating content for both of my businesses and it's also highly effective at really impacting the bottom line of my business. So I am the mentor and coach that says it gets to be both. We get to be strategic and wildly effective while also having the most fun.

06:06

doing our marketing because this is a legacy level marketing. Your products or service is here to make a positive impact on your ideal clients or customers. And I want more people to know about you and your business. And Instagram is the best place to do that. When it comes to making money on Instagram, one of the biggest myths or lies I see online is that you need a huge audience before you can make serious money.

06:35

And I understand why people believe it. You you open up Instagram for five minutes and you'll see accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of views and brand deals and massive launches. And it's easy to assume, well, once I get enough followers, then my business will finally grow. But after coaching hundreds of small business owners and creative entrepreneurs, I found that's rarely the thing holding people back. In fact, some of my clients with the smallest audiences

07:04

have had some of the healthiest businesses. And some people with huge audiences, like hundreds of thousands of followers, struggle to convert any of those followers into actual paying clients or revenue, right? Because followers and customers are not the same thing. And this is one of the biggest mindset shifts I teach inside of Hot Reels is I don't coach business owners to become influencers.

07:33

Do some of them turn into influencers? Sure, yes they do. But their goal when they come in to work with me is they want to become profitable. They want to understand how to create content strategically that works like a magnet to get their business seen, found, trusted by the right people. And when I say the right people, I mean their ideal follower, their ideal client or customer. And that's why they come in.

08:00

Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love helping clients grow their audiences. And if you've listened to part one, you've heard me share Osla's incredible story of growing from 2,500 followers to more than 70,000 in a year. And I have lots of stories like that, right around follower growth. And growth is exciting and growth matters, but follower growth is only valuable to a small business if it's attracting the right people.

08:26

because 10,000 followers who will never buy from you are far less valuable than 500 followers who genuinely trust you. And that's exactly what happened with my client, Martine. Martine owns a Pilates studio in Seattle. And when this happened, she had fewer than 1,000 followers on Instagram. So not a massive audience, not like a viral video that popped off, no influencer status, right?

08:54

just a business owner who consistently showed up and shared content that really resonated and attracted her ideal Pilates client. Over time, her content built trust, right? So week after week, month after month, she kept showing up even when there was no evidence it was working, right? Because if she had just looked at her follower count, she would kind of say, this doesn't seem to be working for my business.

09:23

I gain some followers, I lose some followers, but is it really working? Because if you're only measuring that metric, you are missing out on the whole point of Instagram marketing. So one day, two different potential clients reached out after following her content for months. And between those two sales, she generated $3,000 in a single day from her Instagram marketing efforts.

09:53

I love the story because it's not like, oh my gosh, she went viral and then she started creating more videos like it and she kept popping off and blah, blah. No, it wasn't because Instagram magically started pushing her account. It was because her dreamboat ideal clients had been quietly watching her content for months. Probably not even liking it or commenting on it, but watching, quietly watching, learning.

10:21

building trust, and when they were finally ready, she was the obvious choice. And that story is one of my favorites because it reminds us that there are people watching your content every single day that you'll never know about, right? They may never like your post or leave a comment or send you a DM, but they're paying attention and they're quietly deciding whether you're someone they can trust, whether your brand is one they wanna invest in. And that's why consistency matters.

10:50

That's why your strategy matters. That's why your messaging matters. They're all building toward one thing and that is trust, right? And trust is what creates revenue. And I'm sure you've heard that we're in a trust recession right now and it's never been more important to drive that human to human connection, right? That is what good Instagram content does is it drives connection.

11:18

with your ideal follower. And remember, this follower in quotes is a human, right? It's a human on the other side of the screen that you get to connect with. If Martin's story shows us that you don't need a massive audience to make money, I want to transition into Amber's story because Amber shows us what happens when you intentionally build a marketing system that turns your visibility, so those views,

11:45

those followers your content into consistent business growth. And I want you to hear this in Amber's own words because I think so many of you will recognize yourself and where she started. And I was posting, right? Like we always hear, be consistent. I'm like, I'm real consistent and it's not happening. So I went through the feeling of, am I just someone who can't do this? You know, like, is it working for everyone else, but not me? And

12:14

It wasn't, that's when I realized like, I have enough information, like the student in me was love to take notes and write it down. That doesn't mean that what my brain does to that information, spits out something on the other end is actually what's gonna work. That's what I realized I really needed to get clear on. I wanna pause there because I think Amber just described exactly how so many entrepreneurs and small business owners feel.

12:41

She wasn't afraid of hard work or showing up or even creating content. She was doing all the things people like me tell you to do. But there was a disconnect between effort and results. And honestly, that's one of the hardest places to be as a business owner. Because when you're working hard and not seeing momentum, it's easy to assume the platform isn't working. Or maybe you're just not cut out for Instagram.

13:09

But in my experience, that's almost never the problem. The problem isn't effort, it's that nobody has ever taught you how to connect the dots between creating content and creating customers. And that's exactly where I wanna take you next. Oftentimes when people come to me, they say, Elizabeth, I know people are seeing my content, I just don't know why they're not buying. And I completely understand that

13:39

feels frustrating because if you don't understand what's happening between someone discovering you and someone becoming your paying client, it can feel like Instagram is completely random, right? It's that feeling of I'm posting all the things, but I don't really know why I'm posting it or how it all connects to my sales funnel. So one week you get a bunch of views, the next week you don't. One reel performs well, you're celebrating, the next one falls flat, you're scratching your head.

14:09

And it feels impossible to know what's actually moving your business forward. But here's what I've learned after building two six-figure businesses through Instagram is that people rarely buy because of one post, right? They buy because of a pattern. They see you once, then they see you again. And then they watch your stories.

14:31

and then they save your reel and they read your carousel and maybe they listen to your podcast or if you have a YouTube channel, they watch a YouTube or maybe they join your email list and they read your emails every week, month after month. I just did a workshop a few weeks ago and at the beginning I said, what brought you here today? And someone raised their hand and said, Elizabeth, I joined your email list seven months ago. I read your emails every single week and I finally convinced my boss.

15:00

that I could join this workshop. And I was thinking, wow, that is such a perfect example of this is that people see your stuff over and over and over again before they take action, right? Without even realizing it though, in showing up and pouring into your audience, what happens? They begin to trust you. And that's why I don't think of Instagram as a content platform. I don't think of it as I just have to create content. I think of it as a relationship platform.

15:30

Every single piece of content is another opportunity for someone to think, hmm, I like the way this person thinks. I like her vibe. I feel like he understands me. I keep seeing them pop up on my feed. She's teaching me something in a way that I hadn't really thought about it before. Or he just said the thing that I was actually telling my husband last night.

15:57

Right? That feeling of, my gosh, this creator, this business kind of crawled inside my brain, inside my heart. That's the content that resonates. And that is the content that builds trust and trust compounds. And eventually when the timing is right, people don't start searching for the expert, right? They remember you. That's why one of my favorite frameworks I teach inside of Hot Reels is this. Visibility leads to trust. When I trust you,

16:27

Now I am much more likely to take action, meaning what is your customer journey? What is that next step in your funnel? And that action leads to revenue when you've built out that customer journey. So let me say that one more time, visibility, trust, action, revenue. Notice what's missing from that framework, followers. Because followers themselves don't create businesses, relationships do. And that's why I don't coach business owners

16:56

to become lifestyle influencers, I coach them to become memorable and to become trusted by their people, to become the person their dream client or customer immediately thinks of when they're finally ready to solve the problem. Instagram is simply the vehicle that helps you build those relationships at scale. And Amber is such a great example of this because she didn't wake up one morning with thousands of clients.

17:25

She built one piece of content at a time and eventually that trust started creating opportunities she would have never had before. And Amber, when she first came to me, she was really promoting herself as a burnout and stress recovery coach to high achievers, entrepreneurs, and people in Vet Med because Amber had been a veterinarian for 17 years. So that was really her zone of genius is really hitting a rock bottom burnout.

17:56

in her industry and then making her way out and now wanting to help other high achievers, creatives, vet med pros heal from burnout and stress recovery. But the problem was, is that she was speaking to everyone. So when she came to me, we really dialed in her messaging and I will be totally transparent. We continue to dial it in and now all of her content around recovery from burnout and stress is targeted specifically at veterinarians.

18:25

focus and that refinement of messaging and audience and offers. I just want you to listen to what happened after she started approaching her Instagram strategy completely differently. The master class, I think I came to you was like, I want to do something to like light a fire, you know, under people that are probably seeing my content, but maybe they're just lurking and they haven't really taking action. So you're like, let's do a master class. You kind of walk me through that, which I would.

18:55

not done it that way. So that was really helpful. I want to pause right there. So one of the things that I have learned and this actually applies to how I structure my podcast episodes, how I structure my keynote speeches is essentially how to design a signature talk. Yes. A signature talk that both teaches and gives value, but also drives conversions into your business. So I remember one of our one-on-one calls.

19:25

sharing my screen with you and going through a slide deck and literally saying like, this is the process, like this is why I do it this way. And here's how to do the sales part of it and all of that. So I helped you to build out your masterclass, which by the way, you were so quick at building out. You must be like a Canva wizard or something. You were so quick. It's a hyper focus because I was really excited to talk about it.

19:53

We had that one-on-one call. created the presentation and I started marketing it two weeks before the actual master class. And I had 15 people show up, which is funny because some of them I could see like they liked to post or they commented a keyword and they got the link so I could see that. But others I have no idea where they came from. So like something's working somewhere that I'm not even cognitively making effort in doing. I'm sleeping and they're signing up.

20:23

type of math. And then I did my masterclass and I booked a discovery call from that. And she's just the most perfect client. And we had our discovery call the next day. She signed up. I mean, she was in before I could even do the offer. Like it was the easiest sell. I remember sending you a message like, if we could just have them all like that, if that's what it's supposed to be, then I can do this. It hadn't been. And that's what, you know, I must have done.

20:53

20 plus discovery calls that weren't the right client. Imagine how hard it is when you're just not talking to the right person. And so you're trying harder, which is probably repelling them. So it was really good to see how that funnel worked and it was easier than what I was doing. So the client that Amber is talking about in this clip was a $12,000 client that she closed from the Instagram sales funnel that we built.

21:22

That's obviously exciting. And I love it because it perfectly illustrates how marketing actually works. Right. Did you notice the client didn't just randomly appear. There were multiple touch points. They had been seeing Amber, learning from her, commenting her keyword, liking her content. They attended her masterclass, which was a longer form of really building that trust.

21:49

and then they booked a call, which is her sales funnel and became a paying client. So that is a marketing and sales funnel. That's business. It's not luck. It's not the algorithm randomly deciding to bless someone. That's a marketing system. And I think this is where so many entrepreneurs accidentally sell themselves short. They judge their content one post at a time. Like every post is a drama.

22:17

Like, oh my gosh, that reel only got 1,200 views or only three people commented or no one's commenting. And we get into this self-imposed drama cycle that frankly is a distraction and it's draining time and energy. And I know that's a little bit direct and rough for some of you to hear. And one thing I do want you to know is if I'm your coach and mentor, I am very direct because I have made all the mistakes.

22:43

And my job is to shortcut that learning curve for you. So it's not like, oh, I'm coming at this because I've never been in drama over my content. Believe me, I have. I know it, and that's why I can see it in my clients. And that drama over every single piece of content being so precious is a distraction. Your audience isn't experiencing your brand one post at a time. They're experiencing it all together. Your reels, your Instagram stories.

23:12

your podcast, your emails, your website, your blog, your sub stack, right? Wherever you're at, wherever you're showing up. And by the way, you don't have to be everywhere. Pick like three, you know, in my business, it's my podcast, Instagram, and my email list. Okay, I always say like three touch points. That's great. If you do more, that's, you know, I post on Facebook, I post on LinkedIn, I post on TikTok, I post on YouTube, but I'm really clear on like what is like.

23:40

my main drivers of growth. And that is honestly building a customer journey. And that is going to be totally dependent on your particular business. And if you're listening to this and you're like, well, I'm not sure exactly what that would be or what, you know, lever Instagram plays in that marketing funnel. Private mentorship is definitely something I would love for you to consider. Obviously, this whole series is about Hot Reels, my 12 month Instagram content lab, which is my high touch group coaching program.

24:09

but I do wanna pause that really the focus of the Hot Rails is creating killer content that's gonna get you seen and paid. If you're needing more support around the customer journey, the brand, your offers, all of that, that is private coaching. And if that's what you need, you can apply for a complimentary Instagram breakthrough session with me. All you have to do is go to elizabethmarbury.com slash application.

24:35

That's Elizabeth Marberry, M-A-R-B-E-R-R-Y.com slash application. Or you can DM me the keyword apply a PPLY on Instagram. Make sure you're following me at Elizabeth Marbury so I get that message. But anyway, you would fill out that application and then we would hop on a quick call if you wanna explore how, if I'm the right mentor for you. But what I want to remind you of is that every interaction with your content.

25:02

is another deposit into the trust bank. And some of your ideal clients or customers only need five deposits. Most of them need over 50, right? But eventually you continue to show up consistently with that valuable content that really resonates with your ideal client or customer. And those deposits start turning into withdrawals. They become inquiries, they become...

25:32

discovery calls, they become a submission on your website. It all depends on your sales funnel. They can become email subscribers. Both of my Instagram accounts, I own a local dance studio business called Wedding Dance Coach. We've been a business for 16 years, brick and mortar local business. And my online business, my Instagram marketing, coaching and consulting brand, my personal brand is an online business.

25:57

Both of those Instagram accounts are driving email subscribers for me every single week without me having to do additional work because my funnels are all set up. So that's why I always tell my clients, don't obsess over whether OneReal is working or making you money. Pay attention to whether your overall marketing system is creating momentum for your business because that's where a sustainable marketing and content strategy is built.

26:27

And that's why I love Instagram so much. And think about this for a second. And I know I've geeked out on this analogy or the story. I've talked about this multiple times on the podcast, but I just love this example because it's so easy to lose perspective on the freaking gold mine that we have in the palm of our hand. Okay. But growing up, I remember coming home from school and seeing that giant yellow pages book sitting on our front porch. Okay. So I'm dating myself. I was born in 1980 and

26:55

I remember seeing that Yellow Pages book sitting on our front porch. And if you wanted to find a nail salon or a plumber or a dentist, you would flip through hundreds of tiny listings, right? And maybe one business paid for a slightly bigger ad and maybe another one was bolded. But for the most part, everyone looked exactly the same. Today, we get to show people who we are. We get to bring our brands to life through video storytelling.

27:24

They can hear our voice, they can see our faces, they can watch us teach, they can see and feel our personality, they can learn our philosophies, they can understand what we believe and why we created what we did in our businesses. That is an incredible gift. And honestly, it's why I think Instagram is still one of the greatest opportunities small business owners have ever had. Not because it's perfect or easy, it's because

27:51

Never before have we had the ability to build trust with thousands of people every single day without paying for a TV commercial or a billboard or a full page ad in the yellow pages that we had to wait three months to come out. That is powerful. And I think we often forget that. And we are in the resentment of the work and it is work. And I'm not going to be the coach that tells you, oh yeah, it's so easy and we'll get to 10,000 followers in 30 days.

28:19

I don't sell that because it's not true and it would be unethical selling. I am here to say, yes, it's work. And once you learn the strategies and the intention behind social media marketing and Instagram marketing, everything I have learned and mastered through Instagram, I apply over to other social platforms. I apply it to my email list, all my newsletters. I apply it to scripting these podcast episodes.

28:46

Marketing and sales is a skill and you can learn it. So before I play this final clip from Amber's interview, I had brought her on the podcast several weeks ago to kind of share her success story. And by the way, since we recorded this podcast, she has had even bigger success. She ran another master class a week or two ago. She had over 150 people sign up for this master class. Okay, the funnel is funneling. It is working, y'all.

29:13

So one of the reasons I wanted to build this five part series around real client stories is because I never want you to think these results happen overnight or because someone got lucky. Amber isn't lucky. Martine isn't lucky. Asla from part one isn't lucky. I shared Krista's story last week. She's not lucky.

29:40

These women all have different businesses, okay? Different personalities, different vibes, audiences, industries, goals, but they have one thing in common. They are committed to becoming better social media marketers. Not louder marketers, not trendier marketers, not the marketers constantly pivoting their strategy because someone said, oh, carousels are working, so now I'm gonna totally pivot over to carousels. No, they committed to becoming a better

30:09

marketer and that is a skill anyone can learn. And that's why I'm so excited about Instagram because often people assume I love Instagram because I just love social media. Honestly, I love Instagram because I love what it makes possible. It's absolutely changed my life, my family's life. And I love watching someone go from saying, I don't know what to post to, I am so excited to share this.

30:36

I love watching someone who has spent years hiding behind their expertise finally step in front of the camera and confidently share what they know. And I love watching business owners stop chasing every new trend because it's exhausting and start building marketing systems that actually create predictable revenue. That is the work that lights me up. As you can tell, I get very amped up and there's so much power in investing in yourself and investing in the right coach and mentor.

31:05

Do I want you to consider hiring me and working with me? Of course I do. I may not be the right coach or mentor for you, but that doesn't mean you don't need a coach or mentor. And I wanted to play this quick clip of what Amber says about the value of coaching. Two parts. One is you don't get an award for doing it by yourself and making it harder. Don't worry. I tried. You don't get an award. It's just as hard. Right. And the second thing is if it was just knowledge, you would have already done it by now.

31:34

because there's all the knowledge in the world, but it's that implementation piece and getting feedback on how to do it better. And so we can tell ourselves, like we can get stuck in that, oh, let me just take this course or do this thing, you know, especially as like a crazy student, I was really good at that. But we get confused because that's not actually moving the needle. It's procrastination and we're not really doing anything with

32:03

that information. So I would say that have a really down-to-earth conversation with yourself and be like, what am I really doing? And what is my goal? Because you don't get there by making it harder or doing it yourself. Entrepreneurship is already hard enough. And there's just so many things on your plate that you lose focus on other aspects of your business too.

32:26

That would be my thing is like, what are you waiting for? I really resonated with what Amber shared because it's so true as high achieving entrepreneurs, we wear this badge of honor around doing everything ourselves. I know I've been there. You know, we'll spend six hours watching YouTube videos, trying to figure it out instead of asking someone who's already solved the problem, who could shortcut that learning curve for us, right? We'll spend months guessing, overthinking, wondering why our content isn't working.

32:55

when investing in the right mentor or coach can change everything for your content strategy and direction. Because the way I structure Hot Reels and my private coaching, it's not a course that you're buying. You are investing in having a marketing mentor who knows you by name, knows your business, knows what you're building. And I keep

33:23

Hot Reels intentionally small at 20 owners so I can serve everyone deeply and at my highest level. So that is the level that you're stepping into when you consider Hot Reels or private coaching. There are so many Instagram memberships out there with hundreds or even thousands of members and you log in and you watch a training and maybe you get one question answered if you're lucky on a Zoom call with hundreds of people.

33:50

but you're still left trying to figure out how to apply all that information to your own business. And there's no judgment in people who have their business model set up that way, but that's never been the experience I wanted to create. So that's why I intentionally keep Hot Reels capped at just 20 owners, not because I couldn't make more money with a bigger group.

34:13

Honestly, I probably could, but that's not why I built it. I built Hot Rails because I want to know your business. I want to know what you sell. I want to know your audience. I want to know what launch you're working toward. I want to know where you're getting stuck or frozen or overwhelmed so I can spot you through that because coaching gets exponentially more valuable when it's personal. And that's also why it's a 12 month program. You sometimes people ask me, Elizabeth, why a year?

34:43

Because real marketing isn't something you master over a weekend or a six week challenge that you can only do three days of. Your business changes, the market changes, your offers evolve, your confidence grows. There are seasons where you're launching, there are seasons when you're pivoting, there are seasons when life gets busy and you need that accountability to stay on track. Marketing isn't a one time event or a 30 day challenge.

35:09

It's a business skill and the entrepreneurs who continue to refine that skill year after year are the ones who build sustainable businesses and strategies. And that's exactly what Hot Reels is designed to help you do. So it's not just about creating reels or carousels or stories. It's about learning how to think like a strategic marketer, how to build that trust, communicate your value and create content with intention. And ultimately,

35:38

how to build a business that isn't dependent on constantly chasing the next trend. So before we wrap up today, there's three things I hope you will remember. Number one, followers are a metric. Revenue is the goal, never confuse the two. Number two, every piece of content is an opportunity to make a deposit into your trust bank. Some people will buy after five deposits, others after 50 or 100.

36:06

Your job isn't to force the timing. Your job is to keep showing up. And finally, number three, Instagram isn't your business. It's the front door to your business. The goal isn't to become Insta famous. The goal is to become unforgettable to your right people, your target audience. Because when the right person is finally ready to solve the problem you solve, you want your name to be the first one that comes to mind.

36:34

So if this episode resonated with you and you're tired of creating the content without knowing whether it's actually helping your business grow and you are ready to stop chasing followers and start building a marketing system that consistently attracts dreamboat clients, I would absolutely love to invite you to join us inside of Hot Reels, my 12 month Instagram content lab. I've already mentioned it's not a course that you're gonna buy and never finish. It's not a membership where you're one of hundreds of names on a Zoom screen.

37:02

It's a small intimate group of just 20 business owners who are committed to becoming better marketers together. Twice a month we meet live. You'll receive personalized coaching on your content from me. You can submit your reels and carousels for feedback every week.
