123: The Marketing Asset That Saves Me 10 Hours/Week With AI (Part 3)
Today I'm sharing something that sounds a little boring on paper but has changed everything about how I use AI. It's not a funnel, it's not a sales page, and it's not a complex system. It's a single living document. And it has become one of the most valuable marketing assets I've built in the last two years. If you've ever felt like AI gives you generic, forgettable content — this episode is going to show you exactly why that's happening and what to fix in your strategy moving forward.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
04:57 Why I built my AI Thought Partner document — and why it's more valuable than any funnel or sales page I've created
06:24 The exhausting mistake most business owners are making with AI: starting from zero every single time
07:49 What an AI Thought Partner document actually is — and why it's a living, breathing asset
10:00 Category 1: High-level business overview — who you are, what you do, what makes you different
11:51 Category 2: Your target audience — what keeps them up at 2am, what they desire, what they fear
14:14 Why being a paid user of both Claude and ChatGPT means this document goes everywhere with you
14:44 Category 3: Your offers — what you sell, who it's for, what objections people have before buying
18:27 Category 4: Your brand voice — why a list of adjectives isn't enough and what to do instead
19:24 Category 5: Your stories — your founder story, client wins, lessons learned, and the moments that shaped your perspective
21:14 About the live workshop: Build Your AI Thought Partner
5 CATEGORIES OF YOUR AI THOUGHT PARTNER DOCUMENT
Category 1 — High-Level Business Overview
Who are you? What is your mission? What do you believe and what are your values? What makes your business different from others who do what you do? Think of it as your answer to: "Tell me about your business" at a networking event — but expanded. The more context AI has about your positioning and your "it factor," the more it can help you stand out in a crowded market.
Category 2 — Your Target Audience
Who are your ideal dreamboat clients? What keeps them up at 2am? What are they struggling with, afraid of, frustrated by? What transformation are they looking for? What questions are they asking themselves right now? Great marketing starts with understanding people — and if AI doesn't understand your people, it will create generic content every single time.
Category 3 — Your Offers
What do you sell? How do you make money? For each offer, include: who it's for, what problem it solves, how it's different from alternatives in the market, what the transformation is, and what objections people have before they buy. AI can't write compelling content about offers it knows nothing about — this category alone will transform the quality of every sales email, caption, and hook it creates for you.
Category 4 — Your Brand Voice
This is where most people get it wrong. A list of adjectives — "friendly, professional, authentic" — tells AI almost nothing. Instead, include actual examples: captions you've written, emails you love, podcast transcript excerpts, coaching call transcripts, blog posts. Show AI how you naturally communicate, not just how you'd describe it.
Category 5 — Your Stories
Your founder story, client success stories, the lessons you've learned, the mistakes you've made, your wins, your fails, and the moments that shaped your perspective. Stories create connection. Connection creates trust. Trust drives sales. When AI has your real stories, it can help you weave them into marketing content that feels deeply human — because it is.
YOUR HOMEWORK: BUILD YOUR STORY VAULT
Open a Google Doc this week and create a document called My Story Vault. Add these four headings:
Stories from my life(mistakes, wins, pivotal moments, childhood memories that connect to your work)
Client success stories(transformations, results, things clients have said to you)
Things I believe(your hot takes, opinions, frameworks, things you'd push back on in your industry)
Questions my audience asks(the same questions you hear on sales calls, in DMs, in emails — every week)
Add five items under each heading. That's it. Once you start feeding this into your AI conversations, the quality of everything it creates for you will shift dramatically.

A Truth You Need to Hear:
"When you put all of this information together in one place, AI stops acting like a glorified Google search and starts acting like a strategic thought partner that helps you create marketing content that actually moves the needle."

S3 Ep123 Transcript - The Marketing Asset That Saves Me 10 Hours/Week With AI (Part 3)
00:00
You've landed on part three of our four part series on how to leverage AI in marketing and growing your business. And today I'm sharing something that sounds kind of boring on paper, but has changed everything about how I use AI. And it's not a funnel, it's not a sales page, it's a single living document. And it's become one of the most valuable marketing assets I've built in the last two years. So if you've ever felt like AI gives you that generic,
00:30
forgettable content, this episode is gonna show you why and exactly what to fix in your strategy moving forward. I hope you're ready, let's go.
00:42

01:11
Let's dive in.
01:21

01:51
to Park Moms who left this five star review. I'm just an episode and a half in and I'm hooked, super relatable and authentic. I'm extremely new to everything Instagram and it's like someone is finally talking to me. This mom, can't wait until my next quiet moment to sneak in another episode.
02:09
So thank you Park Moms for leaving that five star review. I really appreciate it. My team and I care deeply about this podcast and the show ensuring that we can deliver free trainings to you every single week. So if you've gotten anything out of the show, rating and reviewing is such a beautiful way to partake in an energetic exchange. Or if you love the episode and you know another small business owner or entrepreneur who's trying to understand Instagram marketing.
02:36
please do me a solid and share it with them. I really appreciate your support. So as I'm recording this episode, we are in summer. It is hot. I don't know about you, but I get a little grumpy when it's hot. I know this is strange, but I'm kind of a winter girly. I am a Colorado native. I grew up in Denver. And it's funny, we have actually pretty mild winters while we do have snow. We have so many beautiful sunny days and I am a little bit spoiled where I am that girl who
03:06
just love 75 degree weather. So it's funny in the summer, I noticed that I'm just snappier, my kids are home, I feel like I have less time and energy and space for my business. And so shout out to all those working parents or stay at home parents out there with kids home this summer who are also trying to manage all the things. And whether you have kids or not, I understand summer is a time of travel and managing all these different moving pieces.
03:34
of our businesses. And so that is honestly why I'm so passionate about leveraging AI, artificial intelligence, whether that is Chad GBT, Claude, whatever is your app of choice. Because as a small business owners, many of us don't have massive teams that we can just delegate every position and piece of work to, right? And so it's really important that we understand how to use this modern marketing tool to our advantage.
04:03
And that is really why I wanted to do this four part series on AI. I was reflecting this morning that I've actually been teaching AI and how to leverage AI in Instagram marketing, social media marketing and business growth for two years. I was definitely more of an early adapter of AI into my business. I saw right away that it was very imperative. And last year I was in the top 5 % of chat GBT users. And I find
04:32
pride in that because it is a tool that we need to understand how to leverage while also maintaining our human-ness, our authenticity, our voice, the magic that is only human, right? That will never be replaced. And so I am very excited to continue to bring you really what you need to know in the AI space from a small business owner and entrepreneur.
04:57
standpoint who is wanting to market their business on social media with the most ease and fun and joy while also it being very effective and aligned for you and your overarching life and business goal. And that is my mission. So thank you for trusting me to be your guide during this series. Now, over the last couple of weeks, we've talked about some of the biggest mistakes business owners are making with AI and how to use AI without
05:27
losing your voice. Today, I want to pull back the curtain on something that has completely changed the way I use AI in my business. And in fact, I would argue it's one of the most valuable marketing assets I've built really in the last two years. And surprisingly, it's not a complex funnel or a high converting lead magnet or a sales page or even an email sequence. It's a Google Doc. I know.
05:56
not exactly sexy, but stick with me because this one document is the reason I get dramatically better results from AI than I used to. And it's the reason my emails sound like me. It's the reason I can use AI for brainstorming and ideation, content creation, sales pages, launches, workshops, podcast planning, marketing strategy, pitches, everything without feeling like I am.
06:24
publishing AI slop all over the internet. And it's the reason I save five to 10 hours every single week when it comes to marketing my business. So many business owners are opening up ChattBT or Claude and they're starting from zero every single time. And I want you to imagine if every Monday morning you hired a brand new marketing assistant.
06:49
Right. Every Monday you sit down and explain who you are, who you serve, what you sell, your offers, your pricing, your values, your audience, your stories, your positioning, your content pillars. Then they do some work and Tuesday morning they forget everything or they don't have the full context. It would be exhausting, right? It wouldn't make sense. And so many business owners are leveraging AI in this way where we have so many different fragmented
07:19
chats and the work is not working. The chats are not connecting. We're leaving so much on the table when it comes to really giving AI the proper context to give us outputs that are actually gonna move the needle for our business. We don't wanna keep having the same conversation over and over again with the AI. And when this happens, of course, you understandably get frustrated, right? You get frustrated without the outputs.
07:49
aren't great or that AI is sounding so generic and so not you. And that's why I built what I call my AI thought partner document. So you can kind of think of this as a living breathing document that you build and you continue to build over time. And it really teaches AI how to better understand your business. So no, it doesn't replace your thinking, but it absolutely supports
08:16
your thinking, right? Remember, as we approach AI, you are the strategic thought leader, AI is your strategic thought partner. So the goal isn't to create an AI version of you, the goal is to create a better starting point. So instead of AI beginning at zero every time, it begins with context that can build and compound over time. And that changes everything.
08:43
Now there are a lot of sections inside this document, but today I want to share five of the most important categories so you can go and build the whole thing yourself after listening to this episode. And I also want to invite you into a live workshop that I am doing in a few weeks where we are going to be building this living breathing document together. That's right. I'm doing a live workshop called build your AI thought partner.
09:11
where we are going to build this reusable document in real time. So that way this is not another episode that you're listening to and you're kind of putting on the back burner for some day. When you show up for this workshop, we are going to do it and implement it live. So you can start saving five to 10 hours a week and really start to create better, more high converting content.
09:35
And of course, if you cannot make the workshop live, you will have access to the replay for 30 days. So if you wanna go check out that workshop, it's at elizabethmarberry.com slash AI dash hub. That's elizabethmarberry, M-A-R-B-E-R-R-Y.com slash AI dash hub. And of course we will put the link in the show notes here below.
10:00
But definitely go check that out if you are a person that tends to binge information but has trouble with implementation. There's nothing better than a live coaching and connection with other business owners in a room who are also trying to figure out this whole AI marketing thing. So let's get into five categories that are inside this living breathing document. The first category of course is high level overarching information about your business. So who are you?
10:30
What do you do? What is the mission of your company? What do you believe? What are your values? What makes your business different from other people who also do what you do? So you can think about this in terms of if someone walks up to you at a networking event and said, tell me about your business, what would you say? Most business owners have all of those answers in their head or maybe living on
10:59
their website, but maybe it needs to be updated. I don't know about you, but sometimes I am so bad about that where I realize, oh my gosh, I need to go update my website. I've evolved so much even in the last three to six months, right? So a lot of this information lives in our head. And the problem is, that AI is not familiar with all of these details, right? It doesn't know the nuance of your business. And so you have to really give it...
11:25
extensive details about these things so it can understand your positioning in the market, right? What do you stand for and what makes your business different is going to be a huge way of leveraging AI in your marketing messaging, right? Because if you sound like every other Instagram coach in your space, you're not gonna stand out, right? Or if you are a fitness coach,
11:51
or a fitness trainer, there's lots of fitness trainers, why would I pick you? So the more context you can give the AI around your it factor and what is your unique positioning in the market, it's going to help you to really stand out. The second category in this document is your target audience. This is who do you serve? Who are your ideal dreamboat clients that if you could just have 10, 20 more of these people
12:21
you would be so happy or maybe for some of you who have a lower ticket, higher volume offering like thousands of these people, who are they, right? Who do you serve? What are they struggling with? What keeps them up at night? What keeps them stuck in the problem? And what do they want? What does your ideal client desire? What are they frustrated by? What are they afraid of? What are the questions?
12:50
they ask themselves at 2 a.m. when they can't sleep. Or maybe that's just me, I'm going through horrible perimenopause symptoms, I know TMI, but every night now between like one to three a.m. I'm awake and I'm like, why, why is this happening to me? But I have questions in my head, right? And what are the questions that your ideal clients have when they are waking up at 2.30 in the morning about whether that's their business or?
13:17
their health or their relationships, right? Thinking about your target audience is so important and really getting inside of their head is the key to creating marketing content that converts. What transformation are they looking for? Because the reality is that great marketing starts with understanding people. And if AI doesn't understand your people, your dreamboat clients,
13:46
is going to create generic marketing content. And that is what most people are doing right now. I will tell you, most people, it's this race to the middle. So the people who are gonna rise above everyone else are the people who are going to be willing to do this work to train the AI. And all of this lives inside of this one document. So what's really cool about this strategy is that, so I'll use myself as an example.
14:14
I am a paid user of both Claude and Chadupt right now because they have different strengths. And so this living, breathing, reusable document I can take with me no matter what AI software I am using. It's pretty awesome. So the third category on this document is your offers. What do you sell? How do you make money? These are your products and services. And of course,
14:44
within your product or a service suite, you might have different tiers of different target markets, right? So for example, in my business, I have Hot Reels, which is my 12 month Instagram content lab. That is my high touch group coaching offer. That's for a small business owner who is posting consistently on Instagram, but they're just not seeing the results and they're needing help with.
15:11
really understanding how to create that scroll stopping content that is going to increase their brand visibility, attract more of their ideal clients or customers and followers on Instagram. Now, I also do private coaching and mentorship and a private client is wanting me to come in and support them not only with Instagram marketing, but more overarching social media marketing and business growth.
15:38
mentorship. So I'm looking at sales pages. I'm looking at email marketing campaigns. We're talking about helping them to build their Instagram sales funnel. So it is much more in depth, right? And a lot of those people are wanting my support as like an overarching like chief marketing officer type of role in their business. So that's a very specific client. Typically that's a client who is
16:05
at six figures, multi six figures, seven figures, and they're know that they are wanting that support to get to their next level. So I'm clear on my different avatars in my program. So I'm sure you have that in your shop as well, right? Depending on what you do, what you sell, who is it for and how does your product or service help them? Another question to ask is what problem does your product or service solve for your ideal clients?
16:34
how does your product or service differentiate from the alternatives that are in the market, right? So one of my clients in Hot Wheels right now owns a kombucha company. And so I would ask him, so why would I purchase your kombucha from a different kombucha company, right? So that would be a conversation that we would have. And that's where it actually gets really fun because sometimes even though the products might be similar,
17:03
Maybe there's differentiators and flavors or how uh ingredients are sourced, or maybe it's a differentiator in how the team is compensated and paid, or maybe it's a local business that sources things locally. Like there's so much nuance in why people buy certain products or services from people, right? This is where you can kind of think about the brand story, the founder story, all of those things, right?
17:28
All of those go into your differentiators of how you would stand out in the market. And finally, another good question to ask yourself is like, what objections do people have before they buy? So all of this information, and I know that was a lot in your mind might be spinning, but this is one of the biggest gaps I see when people use AI, is they're using it and asking it to write content about offers that it knows nothing about. So imagine,
17:58
asking a sales rep to sell a product they've never seen before or they haven't worked with intimately, right? That's essentially what's happening. And that's why this is so important. The fourth category on this living breathing document, your AI thought partner document is your voice, your brand voice. And this is where most people get it wrong. You your voice is not just a list of adjectives like
18:27
It's not just friendly, professional, approachable, authentic. Those words don't tell AI a lot, right? So what I like to do when I'm training AI on my voice is finding examples of captions, emails, podcasts, transcripts, stories, things I've written, blog posts that are great examples of teaching AI how I naturally communicate.
18:55
And that can even be like transcripts from coaching calls, right? So really integrating some fantastic examples of how you speak and how you write can be an absolute game changer. And finally, the fifth category is your stories. We talked about this quite a bit last week, but this is your secret sauce, right? Your founder story, your client success stories, the lessons you've learned, the mistakes you've made, your wins, your fails.
19:24
the moments that shaped your perspective because stories are what creates connection, remember? And connection is what drives trust. And trust, when people know, like, and trust you, that is what will drive more sales. So when you put all of this information together in one place, AI stops acting like a glorified Google or administrative assistant.
19:54
and starts acting much more like a strategic thought partner that's going to help you to create marketing assets and content that actually will move the needle for your business. Now, here's the thing. I want you to know that the value isn't the document itself, but the value is what happens after this document exists. Because once you have used it, this document you can take with you everywhere.
20:23
Right? So as I said in Claude and Chad GBT, when you're writing a real hook or a caption for a reel, or maybe you are wanting to create a direct-to-camera yapping script and you're really wanting to make sure that it is in your brand voice, all of these things, building a sales page, planning a podcast episode, whatever kind of content.
20:49
that you are creating, you know, as marketers, we are creating a lot of different content. This document is going to be such a beautiful reference document that you can integrate into the AI. So next week in part four, I'm gonna walk you through some of the ways that I use my AI thought partner every single week to save me between five and 10 hours in my business.
21:14
And I'm going to show you what this actually looks like in practice, because at this point you might be thinking, okay, Elizabeth, I get it, but what do you actually use this thing for? And that's what we're going to cover next week. Now I want to circle back to the workshop. If you've been listening to this and you're thinking, okay, I want to build this document. That's exactly why I created my live workshop, Build Your AI Thought Partner. So we're not just
21:43
talking about this concept, you're not just listening, we're actually building it together. And I'm gonna show you exactly what sections to include, how to pull all that information out of your brain and onto a page much faster using AI, right? Like I'm sure you listened to all those questions I asked you today and you're thinking, this is gonna take me so long. And so that's part of my job is to shortcut this for you. I have so many hacks that I've learned over the last two years.
22:13
You're gonna learn most importantly how to actually use this document inside of chat WPT, Claude or whatever app you choose to use. So your content emails and marketing assets, sales pages and ideas sound more like you. It's pretty magical. So this is not another AI workshop filled with random prompts. You're gonna forget a week later. This is a working session. You're gonna leave with the foundation built and ready to use. So
22:43
Don't hesitate right now, go and save your seat at ElizabethMarberry.com slash AI dash hub. That's Elizabeth Marberry, M-A-R-B-E-R-R-Y.com slash AI dash hub.
