138: How to Find Your Niche as a Multi-Passionate Entrepreneur with Talia Schneiderman

How to Find Your Niche as a Multi-Passionate Entrepreneur with Talia Schneiderman

I am so excited for today’s conversation because it is one of my favorite kinds of episodes to record: a real, honest client success story told by the person who lived it. I am sitting down with Talia Schneiderman, a multi-passionate entrepreneur, Meisner-trained actress and acting teacher turned creative identity mentor, millennial mom of two, and someone who has spent the last 12 months in private mentorship with me building her coaching business from the ground up. And I mean the ground up. When we started working together, Talia did not yet have a clearly defined audience, a signature offer, a way to accept payments, or a finished framework. What she had was the desire to build something real and the willingness to keep going even when it got hard. And it did get hard. Today she is going to share the honest version of that journey. Not just where she is now, but the experimenting, the questioning, the refining, and the continuing to move forward that got her here.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • 06:00 How Talia found Elizabeth through a podcast interview and the moment of recognition that made her send the DM

  • 11:30 What Talia’s life and business looked like when she first stepped into private mentorship and why she chose to get support before she had it all figured out

  • 18:00 What they built in the first 90 days: target market research, her first coaching offer, business systems, and her first paying clients

  • 24:30 When things got hard: the self-doubt, comparison, and temptation to pivot that arrived in the middle of the journey

  • 31:00 The breadcrumb from a research interview that led Talia back to her Meisner acting background and changed the direction of her entire offer

  • 38:00 What Talia’s coaching business looks like today and the offer she has built that finally feels completely like hers

  • 44:30 Why Talia says she needed a business mentor and not another business partner and what that distinction made possible

ABOUT OUR GUEST:TALIA SCHNEIDERMAN

Talia Schneiderman is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, Meisner-trained actress, lifelong acting teacher, creative identity mentor, wife, and millennial mom of two. She spent years training in Meisner technique and teaching acting before deciding to build a coaching business that could reach more people and work around her life as a mother. When she entered private mentorship with Elizabeth, she had a wealth of expertise and experience but no business infrastructure, no defined offer, and no clarity about exactly who she wanted to serve or what her “thing” would be.

Over the course of 12 months of private mentorship, Talia built her business from nothing to a functioning, client-generating practice with a framework rooted in her real expertise, clients enrolled in her offer, and the confidence and skills to keep building.

00:00

Whether you're building something new, pivoting in your business, or realizing that the offer you've been selling no longer feels fully aligned, this episode is for you. Today, I'm sitting down with my private client, Talia Schneiderman, as she wraps up 12 months of private mentorship with me. Over the past year, Talia built and sold new offers, signed paying clients, created systems behind her business,

00:29

and refined her work through several different iterations until she found the offer and audience that truly lit her up. But this was not a neat linear success story. We're talking honestly about the season when shit got hard, why taking action gave her clarity that thinking never could, and how she learned to refine without burning everything down and starting over.

00:57

every time something felt uncomfortable. So if you are trying to connect all of the different parts of your experience, questioning your next move or feeling like your business is ready to evolve, but you can't quite see what comes next, Talia's story is gonna serve you and I hope inspire you to take your clear next steps. I am so pumped to share her story with you. Let's get into it.

01:26

Her name is Talia Schneiderman and she is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, Meisner acting teacher turned creative, identity mentor.

02:34

wife, millennial mama of two, and a lifelong teacher at heart. I really wanted to bring Talia on the show, not only because I adore her and I got to support her in this last 12 months of her really building her business from the ground up, but I know that so many of you listening are gonna identify with her and her story. And I know that you're gonna get some gold out of this episode that will inspire you.

03:03

on your business journey, on your entrepreneurial journey, wherever this finds you. So thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with us today. And I want to roll out the red carpet and say, Talia, welcome to the show. Thank you. I'm so excited to be here, truly. Yes, I am so excited to have you. I want to go all the way back to the beginning before we even started working together. And I'm curious,

03:30

How did you originally find me and what really made you decide to reach out? Yeah, so I had a falling out with a business partner two years ago and it crushed me, to put it bluntly, and it left me feeling lost. I was full of grief. I felt like I had lost my friend who was my business partner, my community.

03:59

the work that I love to do, but I also knew that I needed to move forward. And so I just started saying yes to everything. I knew that I wanted to build a personal brand and I was trying to do it on my own. And for a year I was searching, like throwing spaghetti at the wall, trying to figure it out. I had all these ideas spinning around in my brain and it just felt like I was going nowhere. Like I was just like an airplane hovering around.

04:28

You know, the runway and not really able to land it. And then I was also simultaneously like listening to every podcast. can get my hands on reading books, asking friends, like searching outside of myself for something or someone who was going to help me. Identify like what this next step, what this next business was going to be. And so I was listening to a podcast. I really forget the name of it. Like that's not what was important.

04:57

The important part was that you were a guest on it. Yes, I think it was the social media marketing podcast. I'm pretty sure that was the one with Michael Stelzner, but keep going. Yeah, yeah. And so I was listening and I was on my walk and I was kind of in a crappy mood. And then you came on. And I just also want to say that I am passionate about lots and lots of different things. And I was really having a hard time resonating with

05:25

any mentor or any coach because they all seem to have their shit together on one thing. Like it didn't seem like they were spinning a lot of plates. They didn't seem dynamic. It was just like, well, this person doesn't understand me because I'm not like a, like I don't have like one thing that I want to do. I have several things that I want to do and I'm a mom and I'm a wife and you know, all the things. And so I'm on this walk and I'm in a bad mood and I'm listening to the podcast and then

05:49

you come on and you're like, I'm a mom and I'm a dancer and I have multiple businesses. And just the way you were talking, I felt like you were speaking to me. I felt like you were my type of person. You described things and explained things in a way that I was like, okay, I get this. And I felt like you were at the same stage of life that I am in terms of like being a mom and in our forties and two kids in elementary school. And I was like, okay, this woman gets it. And she is where I want to be.

06:19

And that's really what it was. I'm like, she's a mom. She has multiple businesses. She's a dancer. I'm a dancer too. So I really connected with you on that. She talks how I talk and she understands the whole picture and not just the business aspect. And so that's why I reached out immediately. Thank you so much for sharing that part of the story. And the reason why I wanted Talia to share

06:45

that with you, my beloved listeners, I'm always thinking about, you know, when I'm supporting clients, right, we always think about the customer journey, right? Like how do people discover us? How do they find us? What makes them actually take action and want to, you know, move forward with us or our company or our product or our service? And I just want to reflect back a couple of the things that Talia just shared as little golden nuggets for you, which is that number one, I was being my most authentic self.

07:14

Right? Like it wasn't that I was trying to pretend to have it all together or, you know, I was trying to be anyone that I wasn't. Right? I was sharing personal elements of my life. Right? Like not super in depth, but like enough for Talia was like, she sees me. Right? Like she's a mom. She has two young kids. She is, she's multi-passionate. She's an artist. She's a dancer. Like all these things. Right? And I feel like the old school mentality of like marketing and business was like, we had to take that

07:44

personal stuff about ourselves and put it in a box. And what I find is so interesting is that the more you can weave those personal pieces into the work that you do and your content on Instagram, the more your people are gonna gravitate toward you. So I just really appreciate you saying that. And then Talia, the other thing you said that I wanna highlight for everyone listening is you said something that I say all the time, because sometimes people ask me like, well, how do I know?

08:13

how to find the right mentor or coach or who do I hire, like for what? And I always tell people, like, find the mentor who's done what you want to do, right? Who's even just a few years ahead of you that can shortcut that learning curve for you. And so that's what you just said, right? And so I just wanna connect all those pieces for everyone listening, because those are teaching points that we cover a lot on this show, and it's just so cool, Talia. So thank you for sharing that and...

08:42

I remember when you sent me a direct message on Instagram and we kind of went back and forth and then we hopped on a call and it definitely felt very energetically aligned between the two of us, which was super, super cool. And I would love for you to kind of paint that picture of like, where were you at when you first stepped into our 12 month private mentorship? Because I know that

09:06

at that time you were kind of going after a lot of different things and you were feeling very scattered. like give us this like idea of like before, like how Talia was when we first started working together. Let me go back. I can't believe a year has gone by. I know. And so much has happened and evolved. So when I first reached out, I was clear that whatever I was going to build was going to be a personal brand. That's what I was clear about. I was clear.

09:35

that I wanted to work with people in some sort of guidance, mentoring, teaching, inspirational way. But I wasn't sure what the offering was. I wasn't sure what the service was. I had a lot of vague ideas. But when I came to it was really from scratch. Like what we built together in this year, which has taken, I think, three total iterations was

10:04

really from the ground up from scratch. Yeah, yeah, totally. And I remember that that piece of clarity around wanting to build a personal brand was so great because what I remember seeing in you when we first started working together is you had such beautiful creative capacity and you also knew you were unsettled in the sense of like, haven't done my life's work yet. Like I haven't figured out.

10:31

how to like connect these pieces together. Cause you knew you had experience in all these different ways. Even just to give a little bit more specifics for people who are listening, it's like, I remember when you first came in, you were playing and experimenting with lots of ideas. Like you're like, should I do, you know, a children's summer camp? Should I do podcasts for other people? Should I do this? Should I do that? And so I just want to normalize that.

10:53

I think a lot of people listening are those like multi-passionate entrepreneurs, maybe ADHD, maybe high achievers, nuanced people who understand that feeling of just like, I have so many different things within me and my heart and my soul and my vision, and it can feel so overwhelming, like knowing where to start. And so I love that you kind of tease like, holy cow, we went from like, essentially no clear personal brand or business to now 12 months later. So this is gonna be so fun for everyone to hear the iterations.

11:23

So let's talk about like what we built together in the first 90 days in private coaching. Like, can you give us a little snapshot of that? Yeah, and I just want to say one more thing about what you just asked me and it is rephrasing kind of what you just said. I have lots of experience in multiple different fields and multiple different things. The through line is teaching. And I was like, how do I connect this? Like, how do I make this work? How do I package it in a way

11:52

where someone can understand what I'm doing and have it make sense. So I really didn't have a clue and I feel like in our work together, we've done it. The first three months was a deep dive into what I'm good at, what I want to do, who I want to serve and...

12:14

Just for everyone listening, I have a background in teaching Meisner, which is a specific acting technique, and it's rooted in relaxing into the truth of who you are as a human. And I went through the two-year program as an actress, and then I was invited to come back to train to be a teacher at a studio in Santa Monica, California, and I fell in love with it. And so I have helped hundreds, really, that's maybe even more than hundreds, of actors.

12:44

connect with who they are as a human, find their voice and opinions, allow themselves to be affected and vulnerable and discover their emotional life, and then have the confidence to be able to communicate it. And I've always said, like, yes, this is gonna help you with your acting, but this will serve you in whatever else you decide that you wanna do. And so I wanted to take that concept and bring it to people who don't wanna act.

13:10

And so when we were talking about who my ideal client is, we settled on moms, because I'm a mom. That's kind of the top of my mind all the time, like moms. And it was interesting. There was something in me that was like, I don't think that's quite right. Like, I don't think moms are my ideal client. I mean, she could be a mom, but there was just something about limiting it to moms. But because of our work together, I went for it.

13:40

And I'm really glad that I did because it led me to the next thing. But in those first three months, I created a program called MyTurn. And it was a three month private mentorship for moms to reclaim their identity beyond the mom label. And that's what it was. And I very quickly developed the program, did target market research, started promoting it and got clients. Like it worked.

14:08

You know, I was like, okay. Yes, I want to pause for a minute because I remember you were like, well, I have, you know, this many calls booked this week for Target Market Research. And then, you know, soon after, didn't you have like three or four clients? I did. I remember telling you, I was like, for a new program like this, it's rare to get clients so quickly. I want to pause and just say, I love how Talia is explaining this because I do remember that

14:35

we were going for the moms because we were really trying to become more clear. And she kept describing like, you know, that woman who has been taking care of other people and who's, you know, lost herself. And then we kind of connected it to moms, but it was really cool. Talia, I just want to highlight what you said, which is you were able to kind of say, okay, I know this isn't quite right yet, but I'm going to just trust the process. I'm going to do what Elizabeth tells me to do.

15:02

That was such a beautiful thing to watch because I remember coaching you and telling you, I know you want to get to chapter 10, but we got to get through chapter one and then we got to get to two and we got to follow these breadcrumbs. And you're like, okay, okay. Yeah, it's true. It's absolutely true. And I was excited and I loved it and it resonated with other mamas. And I started coaching and mentoring those women and they were lovely. And

15:32

yet there was something missing. I wasn't feeling fueled or excited by the conversations we were having, not to diminish the mom stuff because I'm a mom. I get it. Like it's important to have self-care. It's important to feel good in your body. It's important to make time with friends. To be honest, I just didn't want to have conversations about parenting stuff in my work.

15:59

You're bright, you're bright. And that's okay because you were like, I am drowning in this part of it. I'm not here to give you parenting advice. But you know, here's what I love is that I always say you have to take action to get the information. It's not gonna come through in a Google Doc. You have to start working with clients. You have to start delivering it. The sooner you start working with clients, the sooner you're gonna have that information of, oh, I love this person as a human, but that's not my ideal client. You were really open to that, which was,

16:29

really, really incredible. And you were on this like incredible rocket ship those first 90 days. So take us through the next iteration. And I know we lovingly called this part the season when shit got hard. And you started questioning everything. Because again, this is why I was like, I need tell you to come on the show. Every entrepreneur is going to relate to this. So yeah, anything you wish to share about that. And working with you, I don't think it would have gone that quickly. I didn't know how to get a stripe

16:59

link or a payment link without a website. didn't even know which platform to use for my landing pages. like working with you really streamlined all that so that I had a place to send people and a way for people to pay efficiently. So that was incredible. And then the other quick thing that happened simultaneously, which I didn't see the connection before, but now you'll see how it connects.

17:26

When I was doing my target market research and I was interviewing all these moms, I was interviewing my neighbor and I was telling her about MyTurn and all about the program and how it's for moms to reclaim their identity within motherhood. And she asked me how I came up with this. And I said, you know, I taught Meisner for a very, very long time and I'm passionate about that work. And the program is heavily influenced by Meisner. And then she goes, oh, you know, my daughter is an actress and she wants to learn Meisner.

17:55

can I hire you to start teaching her? And I was like, yes, you can. And so I accidentally fell back into teaching Meisner. And then this one student, they're young adults, they're all teenagers, told her friends, and I quickly gathered a group of four teenagers that I teach out of my house, and I continue to teach them. And they have grown as actors and as humans in,

18:25

the most amazing ways and then I started teaching acting more and then that is how like everything connects. But shit got hard, Elizabeth, yes. I appreciate you highlighting how I supported you with those back end systems because I know that a lot of times when people come to me privately, know that Talia when you and I were first talking, you needed clarification on this too. So I was like,

18:52

This will be a cool thing to bring up in the show for everyone is I remember one of your questions was like, do you just do Instagram coaching? Right? Do you remember asking me that? Yeah, that was the first question I asked you because I wasn't looking for just Instagram coaching. was looking for a business mentor. Exactly. It was really cool because the whole point of investing in mentorship and like business mentorship is that, for example,

19:20

With Talia's situation, obviously every private client, everything's customized to what you need. But like, I can tell her this is worth paying for right now, right? Like it's worth you paying for an email marketing platform pretty early on, right? Because I wanted you to start building your email list like as soon as possible, things like that. But then there would be other things where I'd be like, you don't really need that right now. You don't need to pay for that. Here's the way you can do it through Google Doc. So I appreciate you.

19:48

highlighting that and just knowing that, you know, it's never too late for you to build what you want, you know, because sometimes people will come in and be like, it's almost like a sense of shame. Like, I don't really know how this thing works or how do you do that thing or whatever. And so it was just really cool how you were so open to the downloads and the steps and you asked so many great questions too. So I just want to highlight that. So I appreciate you sharing that we've gone through those first 90 days.

20:15

We have built out your first offer. We have really, I remember supporting you and like building your framework so you were clear on like what your unique framework was. You got paying clients, both like coaching and then back to teaching acting. We started to build all these business systems. Like it was awesome. And then there was a time of hardship, right? Yeah. What part do you want to share about that piece? I think the part that was hard was

20:43

the my turn work for moms didn't feel quite right. And it felt like, here I go again, starting over. It felt discouraging. It felt like, when am I gonna find the thing? It also affected my confidence in talking about it because I wasn't so aligned with that particular program and who I was serving at the time.

21:12

And so I just fell into comparison mode. I fell into a bit of doom scrolling. I fell into looking for other people who do similar work to me on Instagram. was like, well, how can I be like them? How can I replicate that, but do it in my way? And all of that, it fucked me up. It messed me up in my head. It really, it confused me and it just kept me in this negative

21:42

loop of what am I even doing? This sucks. Yeah. I remember as your coach and mentor watching that season and really trying to normalize that, you know, because there is that point where if something's not working or it feels misaligned and you don't know the next right thing or you've been putting in all this work and you're like, oh, you know, it's like a sense of impatience.

22:08

It's a sense of fear of like, but what if this doesn't work out for me or what if I don't find my thing? And so I'd love for you to share with the audience, like how did mentorship help keep you on the rails and support you through that time and support you in like following those breadcrumbs so you could get through that tough spot? Yeah, when I first started, I didn't quite understand why the year commitment.

22:37

You know, that's a long time. I've never committed to any type of coaching or mentorship for that investment for that amount of time. I was ready and I was confident and I did it, but kind of like pregnancy, you like can't prepare for like what happens in your second or third trimester. You just can't. And so I was really grateful to have the time locked in where I actually couldn't back out.

23:06

You know what I'm saying? It would have been really easy to be like, okay, I'm out, peace out. Because it got hard, right? And if you're listening, maybe you're a parent, maybe you're not, you're an adult probably. We all have a million responsibilities and things on our plate. It was like, why am I doing this? I knew it in the moment and especially now in hindsight that I'm grateful that I had the time locked in where I couldn't back out.

23:36

Yes, and a good mentor will always be that mirror to remind you of what you told me you wanted for your life. Yeah. I remember one of your patterns, which is not just a you thing, it's like a person thing, and a lot of people will relate to this, but it was that feeling of like when things were hard, it's so easy to go look for answers outside of yourself.

24:01

And I remember one of the things that I was doing with you is like every time that would happen, I would try to get you to like check back in with yourself. You are a sovereign being, right? And you actually do have the answers. And also it is scary and it is hard and it is a lot of work, right? Building a business and entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. Like it is gritty. is...

24:29

And it will bring up all of your shadows and all of your muck that you didn't even know existed. All of it. Mindset, energetic, childhood wounds, all of this stuff comes up because it's very vulnerable to do this, right? It's one thing to say like, I want to do this thing. It's another thing to actually go and do it. Right. And to have things that bomb, to have things that don't work, to have months where you're like, okay, I need more clients. Where are the clients? Like all the things. And that's why

24:59

I'm sure my beloved listener, you've heard me say, like, I always say, you have to keep taking action even when there's no evidence it's working. And I feel like that was really cool, Talia, is like, as much as it was hard, you would go into yourself and you'd do what you need to do and you would come back. You didn't give up. And I'm so thrilled to hear the reflection that the 12 months supported you in that accountability and promise to yourself. Yeah, 100%.

25:28

And also in the very, again, when I said this, didn't know what it was going to be like down the road. But when we first started, I was like, I need you to please help me keep me on the rails. Don't let me go off the track. And I wasn't sure in what capacity that was going to be. And so I feel like I really trusted you in being like, OK, this is a distraction. Come back here. So you really did.

25:57

helped me stay on the rails, kind of like bumpers in a bowling lane. You know, that's kind of how I envisioned it because I can go off the tracks. Yeah, yeah. And we all can, right? Especially if you're a multi-passionate person who it's like the shiny objects or like, you know, this is getting really hard. I want to jump to that lily pad because it's more fun to just like...

26:21

be creative over here than actually do the strategy stuff that is harder for me or system stuff or whatever it is, right? And so I remember a lot of coaching around that where you would bring something in and I would say, that is not the priority right now, right? Like this is actually what we gotta do. And so that was really cool. Part of why you had such great results is you were so open to that, right? Like you were so, as hard as it was, your heart was so open and you were so...

26:50

honest and you were so willing to receive coaching and feedback. And so that was just a beautiful part of the work together, which kind of transitioned. We talked about your first 90 days of like, bam, baby, like, oh my God, this is incredible. Everything's working. And then the next chapter was like, oh dear, wait, what have I done? I don't know anything anymore, right? What was the turning point? Like, how did you find your way back into, my gosh, this is what I'm doing.

27:17

Yeah, well, I sorry, I keep going back. I just feel like it's important. My trust in you never wavered ever from the beginning. And like I had the opportunity to visit you in Colorado.

27:33

When I took to Denver and you graciously made time to have coffee with me and like meeting you in person, just I was like, you're exactly how you are on Zoom. know, like I felt like you had just popped out of the camera, you know. What you see is what you get, who you are is who you are in any iteration. And I just, I'm grateful for you. Thank you. Thank you for saying that. It was such a blessing to get to hang out with Talia and have

28:03

coffee with her and a conversation in person with our nice little coffee drink sitting on the couch. And we even filmed a piece of content by the way. Like, I don't know if you guys remember the audio that was like, Melissa, I'm drunken outside. And because Talia loves to dance, just were like, this is absolutely perfect. We are going to embarrass ourselves in public. We are down for this. That was so fun. So fun. That was bucket list.

28:32

Do a reel with Elizabeth. Oh, so fun. Yeah, so sorry to go back, but I felt like that was an important piece. Oh, yeah. No, it's totally an important piece. So let's fast forward a little bit into when things started to come together and kind of where you're at now and like all the things you've been cooking up in the last 90 days. Yeah. So what happened was I was teaching my turn for mom.

29:00

I was teaching Meisner to my young adult class. And then I said, simultaneously, this is all happening at the same time, I wanna teach acting more. I love it. Let's do more. And so I reached out to previous students and I said, I'm doing a Meisner refresher class on Zoom. Are you interested? And so I had a small group on Zoom of actors who had done Meisner before and they wanted a refresher. And so I started teaching them.

29:30

And as I'm like, who's my ideal client for my turn, really passionate about teaching these acting students. And I realized my acting students, they are so open and willing and craving and wanting deeper experiences to understand not only their human condition, but the human condition of other people in the world. I was like, my turn is for them.

29:59

Yeah, it just, it fits so beautifully. And so my turn shifted away from being for moms to reclaim their identity within motherhood or beyond mother, it morphed into my turn being an experience for the empath, deeply feeling, deeply thinking, high achieving, sensitive person who

30:29

craves, like they have that feeling, they have that craving inside that there is more for them in this life than the day to day grind of your job or being a parent or just adulting responsibilities. Like they know that there is a higher purpose and they want to uncover it. Really want to, there's like this deep desire to have that. And those are the type of people who I'm excited

30:59

to really dive in and work with because I like to work in a deep way. And when I help someone connect and see the light go on behind their eyes and their essence shine through and it's like a very bar, it's like the most magical thing ever. Yes. And I remember you closed a client. It was like your first aligned, super aligned client inside of MyTurn that you had met this woman through Meisner, correct? Correct, yes.

31:29

And then I remember you invited her into my turn and she said yes. And you started to do the work. You were like, oh my gosh, Elizabeth, this is it. Such a different feeling. You know when things just feel right? I know it sounds very cliche and vague, but if you're connected to your intuition and your gut, you know when something feels off and then you know when it's a good fit and it was just like, bing, like.

31:57

The socket plugs in, the light goes on, perfect alignment. Again, I wouldn't have gotten there, or maybe I would have, I don't know, but it went on this really cool journey to find exactly who I want to work with and the type of work I want to do. Yeah, absolutely, which was just like so cool to see you get those downloads and connect the dots and then.

32:24

Every time you would connect another dot, we would relook at your messaging and figure out how to make it more specific and more aligned, right? And it's ongoing process, right? Like I'm doing that. I'm always doing that in my business, right? But continuing to build out like, who is this person and how would do they describe themselves? just this last week, we were working on Talia's Instagram bio in terms of supporting women through acting and self-expression work and just trying to really

32:54

especially when you're a coach or a mentor that does a lot of like inner work and inner healing and all this stuff. Sometimes it's tricky, right? With the messaging, because you can't just be like, you're going to get $10,000 more in your bank account. Like we're trying to be really tangible, but it's really cool how like what I've seen is that Talia, you came in with like all these beautiful parts of your past and your history and your personal strengths and your mission and your value on the

33:23

like your values and how you want to make an impact in this world. And we put it together with like your acting and the Meisner and then like the coaching and mentoring of women and helping them reconnect to themselves and reignite their spark. One of your clients, tell us just a little thing, like, didn't she realize like, oh my gosh, I don't want to live here. And she like moved and like got a farm or something like really cool.

33:51

Yes. So she was a Meisner student. Yeah. And this is also around the time when I realized, oh, these are my people. Like, I'm actually having impact for this type of person. She was in the Meisner work, and she was at a place in her life where she was completely burnt out at her corporate job. She had to be on medical leave. She had no clue what the next step was for her. She was scared to do any next steps because she didn't want to,

34:19

throw herself into more exhaustion. And so when I reached out to her, because we had a relationship before, because I had taught her, we had rapport, and she said yes, and she loves Meisner. And in doing just the Meisner work, which my turn is a way deeper dive than the straight Meisner work, in doing the Meisner work, she discovered she doesn't want to be in LA.

34:49

Like literally, we worked together, it was maybe eight weeks. And then she's like, Talia, I am going to go, I forget the name of it's where you like couch surf. And I'm going to go and work on a farm in Washington. She would have never discovered that if she hadn't started getting back in touch with who she is and what she wants and following.

35:18

I'm gonna use the word breadcrumbs too, because I use it also, but following those breadcrumbs of curiosity as to the things that are like, or the little like, the glimmer along the way. And so she went and did that and she's like living her best life. Oh my gosh. I love that story so much. Another client, she didn't feel comfortable in her house. You know, it was like Groundhog's Day for her.

35:47

her house felt like it was her husband's, she kept it how he wanted, and she didn't really have a place in her space where she could feel comfortable and like herself and tapped into her creativity and her self-expression. so part of the work, again, like the MyTrend work is individualized and tailored to each specific person and what they need and what they're looking for. She needed space.

36:15

And so we were able to dedicate a part of her house that was just for her. And she totally revamped it and made it her own. And just in doing that, it was like this mask coming off. And I was like, oh, there you are. And then when she did that and she gave herself that little bit of physical space, not a lot, but like a little bit of physical space, she had more access.

36:45

to herself. And that was key for her. It's so obvious that you are like so passionate about what you do. And I appreciate you sharing those examples because it's so beautiful to watch someone in doing work that they love and lights them up. like you talking about these women, you are just like absolutely lit up. And it's been such an honor supporting you this last year and

37:15

I also want to highlight that in the last 60 days, you have been building a website, you are doing a brand shoot this week. All the different parts of you are coming together in this beautiful place, but your corner of the internet, tell us about that. I don't even know where to start with that. It all just kind of snowballed. Once I landed on, I felt like I arrived. I was like, I'm here. I made it. Yay.

37:44

I to be like, just standing on my two feet and feeling like I was up on the top of the mountain. And I just have to say, you know, I said it in the beginning that I walked away from a different business and lost a business partner. And one of the reasons why I had that business partner was because it felt like a good fit. She did the things I didn't like and I did the things she didn't like, but in that, I didn't learn the whole business. And so,

38:12

In working with you, I learned I didn't need a business partner. I needed a mentor. That was really, really key for me because I needed to feel empowered to be able to do all aspects of the work and not let someone do it and turn a blind eye. So super grateful. I have a girlfriend, you know, a friend, a girlfriend, and she's also a creative, sensitive, entrepreneurial type woman.

38:40

And she posted something online that she feels like she's searching for her creative identity. Like she feels really lost, which is exactly what I do. I help people connect and rediscover their own creativity. That's an aspect of my turn as well, because each person, even if you don't think you're creative, if you're human, you're creative. There is not one way to be creative and connecting to the thing that makes you unique. That's creative.

39:09

And so she was on this journey of searching for like what was next for her. She was feeling lost and she also does websites and she's super talented. And so she and I did a trade where she was a MyTurn client and she's doing my website. And so it's been this gorgeous collaboration where I'm getting to know her more.

39:33

she's getting to experience my turn and in doing that, she's able to understand and help with the website and give it like more life from a personal experience point of view. And so that is almost done. Like that's really coming together. I cannot wait to share it. And then simultaneously, I was looking for a photographer and I don't want standard corporate headshots. That's just not me as a person at all.

40:03

You can probably tell from listening, like more of like a out of the box type of gal. And so I found this one person and I set up a call with her and she flaked and I was like, Oh, how am going to trust you to show up to the photo shoot if you're not even able to take a call? So I was sort of at a loss. And then my husband thought of this.

40:26

other mom who takes pictures just for fun at our kids baseball game. And she captures the essence of each child in action so beautifully. was like, I wonder if she does brand photography too. And so I reached out to her and she said yes. And she looked at my Instagram and understood the mission straight away. We had an amazing phone call. And now Alex who's helping me with the website,

40:56

is attending the photo shoot on Friday with Larisa, who's taking my pictures and everyone is collaborating to help bring my turn and this website to life. This whole journey has just been so magical and crazy and hard, but it's just like, it's all coming together in this really gorgeous way. And I'm excited.

41:21

to be able to send people somewhere where they can read about me and what I do. Yeah. mean, everything you just described from day one of a year ago of having no clear personal brand or business and building an offer, doing target market research, building a website, figuring out a sales funnel, email marketing, so many things, your Instagram content, sales calls.

41:49

funnels, all the things, and then making sure that everything is in alignment. we have done so much in 12 months, and it's just been such an honor supporting you. And I know that so many people are listening are going to relate with so many different parts of your story. And I think that last piece around the website and the brand photos, it's just another example of, I always say, abundance equals alignment, or alignment equals abundance, right?

42:16

once you do feel really lit up and aligned with what you're doing, things start to come to you, right? Because it's like a moth to a flame. And so that's what's happening and it's going to keep happening. And I'm so, so excited for you. So just a couple of quick questions to close out. If someone is considering not only, you know, working with me, but just like investing in mentorship, what would you say to them? The first thing I would say,

42:44

You know, I was so ready. I was already looking for someone like you. Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah. It was this feeling of just really being ready to take the leap and then trusting and following my gut and actually going for it, even though it feels scary. Yeah. And that...

43:12

You might not know where you'll be at the end of the year or three months in Hot Reels with you or the 12 month private mentorship, but no matter, there will be growth. You can't say what it's going to be, but the other thing is you have to put in the work. It's not a magical, easy pill that you take and then all of a sudden, voila, I have a business. No, it's definitely a partnership.

43:40

and collaboration and there absolutely needs to be a willingness and readiness on the person's part to put in the miles to do the thing. If they are willing to do that, like you're not going to steer them wrong. I feel like the way you would talk about my business as if it's your own. know, like your heart goes into everything you do. Thank you.

44:09
